‘The Universal House of Justice’ dishonouring secularism and disregarding non-formation of a religious government!!
It may be that secularists and opponents of religious government have the impression that Baha’ism has some particular belief and has no greed for government!! whereas basically the ultimate goal of the Baha’is is to gain power and nothing else. This issue has been so clearly stated in the Bahai’s writings that there is no need for any analysis or confirmation in this regard.
Secularism is a belief based on dissociating governmental institutions and, in general, the inhabitants of political power, from religious institutions and religious authorities. Therefore, religious beliefs have no place in the affairs of government and its administration. Religion, sect and any religious group are basically prevented from interfering in these matters. In the meantime, this is the only human rights law that will be preferred to any belief, this belief does not take into account the involvement of religious elements in decisions concerning sociological concepts.
Without any preconception to the words of the chief editor of the official Baha’i website and the Baha’i guardian, Shoghi Effendi, we present to you in this regard his article entitled "The Concept of Non-Interference in Political Affairs" (http://negah.org/770), the chief editor of the official Baha’i website, Negah, states:
For some people, the ambiguity is there that if one day bahais are in large numbers, will they not interfere in political affairs again, and there are some other obscurities also that may be caused primarily by the Baha’is themselves, who are unaware of the real fact and do not have enough information about it. Mr Shoghi has a beautiful expression in this regard that is readable and that is, he says the main problem of bahais is that they have incomplete knowledge of the divine order, and when they pass this information on to others, they cause confusion and trouble, even if bahais are asked if in future would you rule or not? Some of them would reply in negative and would say that they have nothing to do with it but according to the works of Hazrat Shoghi and the evolution of the Baha’i Faith through the different stages such as ignorance, oppression, subjugation, secession, independence, recognition, limited government and then the entire world government , it clearly shows that a day will come when the Bahai Faith will be the religion of the world, and the Bahais will inevitably rule, and in order to govern society, they will even play role in the politics of the country and the world. On that day, the bahais faith will not be restricted and it would rule over the entire world.
As it can be seen, bahais not only wish for government, but rather their ultimate goal is to establish a universal government!! Therefore, considering Baha’is as a secular and anti-government religion shows that we do not have the true recognition of bahais faith. In order to avoid the confusion that this is the personal interpretation and there is no evidence of it in Bahai’s texts, the principle of Shoghi Effendi’s speech that is cited is also presented.
Shoghi Effendi describes the seven steps as follows:
The period of ignorance, which is the first stage in the development of the Baha’i community, and the second stage of oppression and subjugation that ‘Jamal Abha’ is currently going through in Iran, both expire, and the third period, which is the stage of separation of Islamic laws from the ancient obsolete religions has become apparent and this separation in itself is the prelude to the progress of the independent divine knowledge and the confession of the Bahais’ rights which has been taken away from them forcibly and the equality of the followers of ‘Jamal Abha’ with the followers of the major religions in the eyes of the world leaders . He further says isolating the religion would be the cause for the establishment of divine religion(bahai religion) and the great victory which is similar to the conquest of the Christian in the fourth century AD in the era of the great Constantine and this formality would change over time and would lead to the establishment of the divine kingdom. And this divine kingdom will eventually lead to the establishment of the worldly monarchy and would lead to the manifestation of the Bahai Faith.
